2020年6月，印度政府[22]禁止了BIGO以及其他58個可能存在中國關係的應用程式，理由是數據和私隱問題，並表示這對該國的主權和國家安全構成威脅。外界猜測，2020年印度和中國之間的邊境緊張局勢[23]可能也在禁令中發揮了作用。

2020年7月，巴基斯坦政府封禁了新加坡直播產品Bigo Live，並對TikTok和YouTube有關不道德、淫穢和低俗的不當內容發出警告[24]。巴基斯坦電信管理局[25]表示，這兩個平台上的內容可能對社會一般和年輕人特別造成「極為負面的影響」，沒有詳細說明。然而，巴基斯坦電信管理局宣佈於2020年7月30日解除了禁令。[26]
